How Invisalign works
Each set of aligners is made to fit your teeth and moves them a small amount. You change to a new set every week or two, and over the course of treatment your teeth move gradually into their planned position. You need to wear the aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day for them to work, taking them out only to eat, drink anything other than water, and clean your teeth.

- Wearing your aligners. You collect your aligners and come in for regular progress checks so we can make sure everything is on track.
- Retainers. Once your teeth are in position, you wear retainers to stop them moving back.
How long does Invisalign take?

Frequently asked questions
Does Invisalign hurt?
You may feel some pressure for a day or two when you start a new set of aligners. This is a sign they are working and usually settles quickly.
Will it affect my speech?
Some people notice a slight lisp for the first few days. It normally goes within a week as your tongue gets used to the aligners.
Do I need to wear retainers afterwards?
Yes. Teeth naturally try to move back after straightening. Wearing retainers as advised is the best way to protect your result.
Can I have teeth whitening as well?
